"Before there was land and sea, heaven and hell, man and monster, there was only a Void, containing a perfectly balanced Cosmic Egg of Yin and Yang. From within that egg, Pan Gu was born. Pan Gu saw within that egg endless energy... and endless possibilities. Pan Gu sought to create a world filled with honor, compassion, ideals, glory and beauty by destroying the Void. The Void rebuked this and the two beings fought. After a drawn out battle lasting eons, the Void conceded, but only with telling Pan Gu that he could not have the light without the darkness and that his vision would always be a double-edged blade. Pan Gu flung the Primal Gem into the Void, splitting it in two and threw himself in the center, so it could not reform. Thus the Yin became the Sky and the Yang Earth and Pan Gu began to form his Perfect World."
